long talk
Web is cool for sure. Or is it? Do we really need all that fancy stuff that fucks up all your resources? What was the initial purpose? Oh yeah, reading that content. So why are we lost in all that complexity and made ourselves a lot more problems? Did it worth it? Web is the one damn 'platform' flooded with uneducated 'devs' and bloated by their excessive desires on polishment. I am not saying that a good looking website is bad, but if that website makes my lovely Thinkpad T430's fans go faster, I say fuck it. For around 15 years the hardware of computers didn't change a lot, even if it did, there is nothing new (except AI, I will talk about it later). What we do with our computers today are pretty much same with 10 years ago. Read stuff, watch stuff, listen to stuff, play stuff. What actually changed is that certain people thought they could add more 'functionality' so they can attract a few normies when the rest of the world didn't need anything.
Let's talk as if we are today's computer user. First of all, your computer is not a computer you sit in front of the table and focus on what you want. Instead your computer is an expensive ugly little machine you scroll through while you wipe your ass in the toilet. Now let's get back to our initial purposes at using computers. Let's say research and communication. While wiping your ass in the toilet, since one of your hands is busy (and obviously dirty) you need to use your one hand. With that hand you skillfully scroll through Instagram, TikTok or whatever poison you prefer, and instead of using the machine you let the machine use you by showing you what to watch, what makes you laugh, what makes you stay watching. At that position you are not the user of that product but the product of that system. Being a part of what some big tech company prepared for you must feel like a cuck. You stay there, without moving, without thinking and you solely obey, just keep working for whatever makes the best deal for your technofeudal lord. The worst part is you are not getting any benefits, you are in a worse position than middle age serfs.
Why all that happened? Because tech gone so far, it became the point of interest, rather than you and your purpose. All the bullshit with technology gave certain people surface to build their kingdom on. Big tech born out of it.
As we are serfs of their kingdoms, it is possible to get reins back in your hands, and to claim what is rightfully and initially yours: Control.
This website is based, because it is not greedily wants to take the control of you. It respects you and gives you the bare minimum so you can do whatever is best for you.
